First and Second Life at least.

“We are closing in… May 28, 2010

… to a specific location, Hucka D. It seems.”

Hucka D.:

The O marks the center. Uma G. Uma. ALL FLOYD.

bb:

The Cornfields are not from Yd Island… wait, they are but Meddletown is here on Jeogeot, not Yd Island. Not in Meddledown [Yd Island sim].

Hucka D.;

You’re missing a more refined connection.

bb:

Maybe the Tickles and Bites Gallery?

Hucka D.:

MakeMake.

bb:

OK, we’ll get back to that, perhaps. Sapphire and I talked about the “One Pink” collage a couple of months ago, Hucka D. Related post is here. Within it as well, she mentioned that she ruled the eastern half of Jeogeot from a place not far south of Yeot. Is this Meddletown, then?

Hucka D.:

Yes. The “Pink Floyd Echoes” property. The O marks the spot. Take a picture.

bb:

Hold on, then.

*****

bb:

Remarkable. Karoz has beamed in to the exact center of Yuja and found that it’s marked with the end stepping stone, the largest, in a chain extending from the stairs [pinpointed] by the center of the O of FLOYD, as described in the other post from tonight. This is getting quite weird, Hucka D.!

Hucka D.:

Yes. the Meddle group obviously knew of the center of the sim, and placed a marker there. Karoz landed right in the center of the marker through the default [central] teleport into the sim. No mistake there.

bb:

And then as I’m counting there’s 7 smaller stepping stones connecting this endpoint to the stairs. And then there’s no more stepping stones beyond the stairs. This is obviously the center (!).

Hucka D.:

This is where Uma G. Uma derived his strength. You must begin to think about rabbits again. Hares and Rabbits.

bb:

The centerpoint of the sim also touches the lower part of the F of FLOYD on the SL map, Hucka D. (pause) Hmmm… in Yeodeol, the center of the sim seems to be marked by the hole of the A.

*****

bb:

Jeez, another sim centerpoint marked (!).

*****

bb:

It’s a skydiving pod, Hucka D. Karoz just went up to 4000 meters and jumped, and passed right through the middle of the A!

*****

bb:

My thinking, Hucka D., is that this has to be related to the 26 sims [delineated] by the 2 northern-southern YEO sims, which has already been connected to the 26 tiles of SID’s 1st Oz. Each tile of that carrcass, that synchronicity, is a certain letter of the alphabet. Tile=letter, just like all the letters of the alphabet, 25+1, are on the map of Yeodeol. The centerpoint of Yuja is marked by a Wish You Were Here textured circular pad. People say Wish You Were Here, both the song and album, are a lot about Syd Barrett, and Syd’s image can be seen in that picture above, next to the pad.

Hucka D.:

You start at the very beginning, which is a very good place to start.

bb:

On more thing tonight, Hucka D. Hold on… well, I guess I should *ask* you. Will you go inworld and take some pictures of that A and also that skybox Karoz fell beside somewhere above it?

Hucka D.:

Don’t you want to use your magic feather [delete name] gave you?

bb:

No, you go ahead and do your thing. You’re the Air Force of the family.

Hucka D.:

Alright. *You* hold on, hehe.

*****

“Man, this one’s really funny, Hucka D. And you just picked a place to sit at random so you could get to the platform.”

“Now the thing is, baker b., you must create a similar workshop yourself. You must create a SID workshop [you see].”

“Yes. I think I do see. Thank you.”

“There’s a couple more you need to include [of me]. Hold on again once more, please.”

“You’re becoming One Pink!”

What’s up w/ da letters?

Filed under: Carrcass+1,Meddletown,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett,Uncategorized,Yeot — baker Blinker @ 2:05 am

This would be in Yeodeol, a part of the YEO/Jeogeot mystery pool of information.

But caddycorner to Yeodeol, to the northwest, is Yuja.

More letters, all pink this time, but more importantly, marking the center of the “Pink Floyd Echoes” property explored just the other night, and determined by me, w/ aid from Hucka D., to be part of or perhaps the core of ancient Meddletown, maybe the oldest remnant of this hypothetical, forgotten city of pre-Linden Jeogeot.

Oh, and the “F” letter, of the 26 in Yeodeol, is the only one that’s *pink*, hehe.

And as Baker Bloch is finding out even as I write this post, Art in the Park, in Hobak west of Yuja and north of Yeodeol, is about the same distance between the two groups of letters. On the below map, it is easily spotted by the maze of gray sidewalks in the lower part of the sim.

Baker looking up at the FLOYD letters in Yuji. That’s as high up as he can fly.

If followed to the ground, the center of the “O” of this FLOYD would be approximately where Baker is standing below, beside some steps leading to stepping stones textured with various Pink Floyd related pictures.

Interesting collage work from a featured artist here named Frank Conde. Web site here: http://www.deathisnormal.com

Southeast of Yeot (Meddletown??) May 26, 2010

Filed under: Jeogeot Continent,Meddletown,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett,Yeot — baker Blinker @ 9:20 am

In just teleporting randomly around the general area of Yeot the other night, quickly came across this interesting beach area on the west side of Jeogeot. I believe this was, in fact, my first random teleportation of the night, just using terrain view to spot interesting depressions, cliffs, and so on.

Interesting underwater pod, giving a limited view of the surrounding ocean and some sea life within. In checking behind Baker today, Karoz believes it to be a representation of a black pearl, although the actual description of the object is blank. Pretty nice; a bit different, at least for me.

It took me a minute or 2, but it finally sunk in that this is a Pink Floyd themed parcel. In checking the About Land tab, found the property, called “Pink Floyd Echoes”, was additionally owned by a group called “Meddle”.* I immediately thought of Hucka D.’s mention of a mythical Meddletown on Yd Island. Could *this* instead be the ancient site of Meddletown? As I continued to walk and explore the area, this realization began to grow and be nurtured from other directions.

Below is a replication on the south side of the long island of a factory off the cover of their 1977 album, Animals, most famous for its flying pig.

When I first teleported in, the texture of this large poster hadn’t rezzed in yet, and I just thought: “Great: wallscreen clutter.” But it turned out to contain a montage of Pink Floyd related images, which made it suddenly A-OK.

The island is almost cut into 2 islands by a channel about 1/2way up its length, but not quite. Those plants are non-phantom for some reason, making further progress up the island more difficult than it should be.

Cool… as Karoz is walking the area now, he is able to take a free copy of the plant, called “Sara Nerd Tropical Tree/Plant 1,” a 3 prim affair.

Just to note, the water just in front of Baker Bloch in the below picture is Linden owned, and dotted with an interesting matrix of ferns (ferns?).

Beyond the upper end of the island is a centerpiece lighthouse, displaying on its side one of the numerous images from Pink Floyd’s movie The Wall found in various guises around the property. Near the top is a rotating, multicolored heartbeat line taken from the inner sleeve of the Dark Side of the Moon album, and the circular top of the light itself is an image from the Wish You Were Here album.

Dark Side of the Moon is debatably the most famous album in all of rock annals. In fact, another slightly less mentioned candidate for that distinguish title is Floyd’s The Wall, and the two albums are often grouped together in lists of all time top 5 or top 10 albums. Wish You Were Here, the album released after Dark Side of the Moon by the group, often makes top album lists as well. But, as I said, probably their best individual *track* is “Echoes” from the album before Dark Side of the Moon.

The property below “Pink Floyd’s Echoes” is called “Makebelieve”. I believe Hucka D. has connected the name Makemake with Meddletown in the past. Hafta check the details, though — one of those “adding to the stream” ideas building, possibly, to the full realization that, yes, this is the actual site of his Meddletown.

And to complete, there’s also an open front store near the lighthouse stocked with various Pink Floyd related paraphenalia such as furniture, t-shirts, jewelry, even Pink Floyd eye textures.

But I’ll be returning to this area again soon enough to recheck all this and fill in the picture more. In fact, I sent Baker Bloch back the next night…

*****

* “Echoes” was a side long track on the original Meddle vinyl album. It is often called Pink Floyd’s greatest, single track.

Decisions Made… February 5, 2010

Filed under: Big Sink,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett,SID's 1st Oz,Sunklands,Uncategorized — baker Blinker @ 8:00 am

So I think this is what I’m going to do. I’m keeping both the larger Aotearoa property (7680) and the 2 Pudding Hill 1024 parcels I rent from Lama Estates. The 3rd, highest parcel in Pudding Hill must go. *So* will the 1024 Yd Island parcel — that was a tough decision, but as of today I went ahead and moved the SID’s Place structure there over to the higher of the 2 remaining Pudding Hill parcels, renaming the parcel itself SID’s Place (SID’s 1st Place?). And, yeah, I like it better in Big Sink (!)

Very pleased with these decisions, but lordy lordy, I’m really stuck in Sunklands now. “As it is written,” is what Hucka D. might insert here.

So Sunklands Central will be in *Pudding Hill*, or remain there. I’ve also deleted the Pieland/Big Island related photos from the duplicate Sunklands Central in Aotearoa. Must make additional, more minor decision about what pictures to hang in the empty house now: more Edna photos?; pictures about Yd Island? More about Sunklands itself, maybe geared more to Aotearoa, Otaki Gorge, and Peter the Good/Piedmont/Peter’s Mound?

Hucka D.:

Your friend Flynn is taking Piedmont into a tangent world. Good you explained [delete name] to her. We must speak soon about the cross made between the 10×10 and the Big Carrcasses. 2004-2009. You are entering a different space now. Jeogeot, (and further) Sunklands. You are a Sunklander through and through now. Time to act upon it. Acting.

bb (noticing Hucka D.’s hand):

Where did your pollen ball go, Hucka D.? Your hand is human-like now.

Hucka D.:

Oh, that’s been gone for months and months and months. *You.*

bb:

Sorry.

Hucka D.:

I am excited about starting anew the SID’s 1st Oz interviews. You have SID’s Place all set up for us now. We will start with Yd Island in that discussion. Review all you can… prepare. You have some time this weekend obviously.

bb:

Snow’s already coming down, Hucka D. Then ice tomorrow, then more snow tomorrow night and Saturday. What a bloody mess!

Hucka D.:

At least Jeogeot and Sunklands is lean and green.

bb:

I’ve sunk into Sunklands, Hucka D. Have I gone native?

Hucka D.:

No. You’ve had to do what you’ve had to do…

bb:

The Big Book again… Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Yes?

*****

bb:

Can we prepare a bit more for the SID’s 1st Oz interview tonight?*

Hucka D.:

OK. Insert a picture of SID’s Place here, please.

bb:

Alright.

INSERT PICTURE HERE.

SID’S Place, Pudding Hill. Big Sink below.

bb:

OK.

Hucka D.:

Y City will be Y. The mobius triangle at the center of SID(‘s 1st Oz) will be grounded by The Bee that is all wound up and ready to go. Yellow… ground… golden yellow. Y City is the 11th city visited in (Harington’s) Let Us Build Us A City, and Golden City the 12th. He met someone from Waters or Pine Ridge while in Y City. Review that. It was me.

bb:

Alright… to clarify, you’re saying you somehow manifested yourself inside Harington’s book and claimed to be from Pine Ridge.

Hucka D.:

… or Waters. That’s the beginning. From Waters/Pine Ridge you move, gradually, across the county (Montgomery) to the 36-Square again, and Rubie and Silver. And also Joplin (smiles). Joplin is the missing piece, the unnamed population place on the side of the (Rubi) Temple.** We’ll take a look at that map as well. We’ll have pictures this time for the interview. It can be a part of this blog if you wish. We will also review Pencil Bluff and Sims. And the Rubi Diagonal. And of course TILE. TILE manifested itself quite clearly to you in Rubi. You must go back sometime. SID is from there as well.

bb:

I remember!

Hucka D.:

SID declared himself by overlapping two Syds in one. SID wanted his own Oz, and he got it by devolving TILE to Tyle, simultaneously raising himself from Syd to SID. Waters’ songs are broken within the synch, replaced by Syd songs. Or SID songs one could say. This is SID’s 1st Oz. He was not a part of Pink Floyd when they created Dark Side of the Moon. Pink Floyd had their own Oz (Dark Side of the Rainbow) but not Syd Barrett, since he was kicked out of the group in 1968, a full 4 years before Dark Side.

bb:

It seems that Syd… or SID, sits at the end of the row of 4 artists in the synch, or, in order, Jethro Tull, Queen, Waters (Geesin), then Syd and Floyd. The only Floyd songs in the synch are by Barrett.

Hucka D.:

Study up on Rubi within the blog. Good night!

bb:

Same to you, Hucka D. Thanks!

*****

* I’ve made SID’s 1st Oz a blog category now, and will be adding posts to this category asap.

Nascera, Etc. 02 December 29, 2009

“Cornfields’ gonna still attempt to own land in Nascera, Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

Sapphire is here, as you guessed.

Sapphire:

*I* will own land in Nascera, bb.

bb:

Hi Sapphire. Nice to meet you. You are discorporate, then?

Sapphire:

I am both. I come from Turquoise and will pass into Lapis and Lazuli. I am overall Azure.

bb:

Are you the same as Azure Island No. 1, the island that was just split up into many pieces — Lost, in effect?

Sapphire:

Hold on please (pause). You have found the Black Hole. Pass through it to return to Yd Island and Nautilus Continent.

bb:

You’re talking about the hole surrounded by Jeogeot sims, caddycorner to Mos Ainsley, then.

Sapphire:

1 becomes 3 becomes 6 becomes 10. Jeogeot to Yd Island and beyond.

bb:

But then Yd Island itself seems to have stabilized through the Micro Hole. Is that a correct term for it?

Sapphire:

(unpronounceable word here… Indian-sounding).

bb:

But it stabilized the, um, spinning of Yd Island?

Sapphire:

Yes. That’s why my parents must return.

bb:

Are they some of the supposed undead roaming around SL still… like Hucka Doobie himself?

Sapphire:

No.

bb:

The Micro Hole, as I’ll keep calling it, is made up of separate sections of 4-2-2.

Sapphire:

This is a 4096, a 2048, and a 2048. For a total of 8192. The Hole is a 141072, a 262144, and a 262144. For a total of 655360. The [Micro Hole] is 4-2-2. The Hole is 2-4-4. The [Micro Hole] is in another way lemon-lime-lime. The Hole is lime-lemon-lemon.

bb:

Greenup and yellow down, then.

Sapphire:

My parents must return to Meddletown, which is the same as Meddledown.

bb:

Does this have something to do with the Pink Floyd album Meddle?

Sapphire:

(no answer)

bb:

Lemme check my notes… (pause) I am unable to locate your parent’s place in Meddledown, Sapphire. Are they gallery owners (by chance)?

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

Is Yd Island a replacement for Azure Island No. 1?

Sapphire:

Eventually, yes. I am Azure Island No. 1 in space/time in past/present/future. Now I am Sapphire. I come from Turquoise and will pass into Lapis and Lazuli.

bb:

I was checking out your parent’s facebook accounts, Sapphire. Nathaniel or Natha Neil — these are the same, correct?

Sapphire:

Yes.

bb:

Let’s call him Natha Neil per the facebook account. Now can I talk about this hill where NN claims Turquoise turned into you, Sapphire? This seems to have occurred when you were 9 or 10 years old.

Sapphire:

I was struck by lightening when I was 9 or 10, yes. Broke into pieces… shards. Sapphire enabled me to become whole again. And then LL will come along soon enough. 3 in 1.

bb:

Why do your parents in SL claim that they are brother and sister in First Lyfe?

Sapphire:

Because they are from Second Lyfe and not First Lyfe.

bb:

What is the relation of Yd Island to Nascera?

Sapphire:

One had to be chosen over the other. My parents chose Yd Island because of the management of the [Micro Hole]. They had to be in Meddletown for this.

bb:

Are you familiar with the Meddle song, “One of These Days”. The reason I mention it is that the only lyrics are “One of these days I’m going to cut you into little pieces.” Sounds like the situation with Azure Island No. 1 now, Sapphire.

Sapphire:

Mmmmmm.

bb:

Is Vileness one of the 3 large catfish in Nascera’s northern body of water?

Sapphire:

He or she is all three. And they appear at (around) Yd Island. They are The Link.

(to be continued?)

Aotearoa — 1 Month In November 10, 2009

Filed under: Heartland USA Tour,Hucka D.,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett,Plant — baker Blinker @ 10:12 am

Little over a month since I began renting in Aotearoa. Not bored yet! Sure I’ll probably move away sometime, but for now I still feel I have more to look at and explore and build there. No neighbors in the sim yet… not sure when it will happen, even, since all the land has been abandoned. Guess I should spend more time there just hanging in my cottage and looking down into the heart of the sink. If my home computer were more powerful, I could multitask while sitting there. Oh well; I probably spend enough time in SL already.

Need to take more RL photographs. Perhaps this weekend. Had perfect weather on Sun. but forgot my camera. Oh, Parson’s Vale story is coming up, on other side of Mmmmmm’s homeland. Inhabited by talking birds (?) or family named Byrd. They moved to the Vale to interact with the Mmmmmmm’s and the toy avatars in general, but I don’t think they’re avatars in that respect. Must also tell story of that big rock near CREEK — was it known to the Mmmmmm’s? Mossmen? Will take pictures soon of that as well. Would of course like to go back to Darkside sometime soon as well… need to think about potential toy happening there.

Parson’s Vale is connected to the new “Ruins in the Woods” exhibit in the Temple of TILE at Aotearoa, a restoration project as I’ve said. One can say they come from the ruins.

New “Carrcass-1” may be coming up, related to all this recent blog talk. Sinking into Sunklands.

Can’t forget maps either…

“Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

Chilbo needs Korean Channel needs Sunklands needs Chilbo.

bb:

Jeogeot as a whole, then. Like on my map in Chilbo.

Hucka D. (correcting):

Mangyeong. Keep renting there.

bb:

Right. I’ll think about it. Would any of these be physically possible without the other?

Hucka D.:

No. All 3 need each other. Perfect triangle.

snapshot1403_001smaller

bb:

It has something to do with the E. Which way you look at it. Big E or Big Schwa that is.

Hucka D.:

And you must think more about the relationship of the 3rd and 4th continents. Rabbit Holes. Ancient. Sinks not as much. Rubisea older than Sunklands.

bb:

I think I might next rent in the Lake District of Maebaleia again, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Wait.

bb:

No, I mean a small rental, if that’s what you’re getting at.

Hucka D.:

Bluedrake is best. Blue Drake and his posse are pipe worshipers [worshipipers?], as you now know.

bb:

Can you tell me more about your father Kelley the Bee Man now, Hucka D.? I think before I speculated that you yourself may even be your own father.

Hucka D.:

I’d rather start out by talking about your Heartland USA Tour… I’m excited!

bb:

Well, I’ll be primarily focused on Arkansas and Missouri. I plan to take many pictures for this blog. I will visit Sunklands, Missouri and Sunk Lands, Arkansas. Dogpatch… that’s very important. Joplin, Missouri. Maybe stop at Branson just to see what that’s all about. May stand outside Andy William’s’ Moon River Theatre and listen to him croon Moon River, if only to help alleviate the memory of Little Robert Plant Variant murdering the same.

Hucka D.:

You must, of course, go to The Bends where Grassy and I attempted and completely failed to build an Earthy version of the Temple of TILE.

bb:

That was on Arnold Bend, right?

Hucka D.:

Tyler.

bb:

Then we also plan to stop at Oxford, Mississippi and visit Faulkner’s house there.

Hucka D.:

St. Louis?

bb:

Not sure. [Delete name] would perhaps be happy to know we went.

Hucka D.:

Peter, you mean

bb:

Yeah. Suppose. Grassy as well.

Hucka D.:

Yeah. I miss the little guy. Little Grassy guy.

bb:

Where’s he been, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

He’s still in Big Four, West Virginia, trying to get out of aisle 32 of the super WalMart there with his Pink Floyd CD.

bb:

No way. Maybe I should go up and get him, then.

Hucka D.:

You’d never find him. He is with The Bills anyway.

bb:

The Bills?

Hucka D.:

Or Bill. Bills… Bill. Did you know the Buffalo Bills might want Michael Vick?

bb:

Heard that. Also the joke about Cleveland not being a good fit for him because of [the presence of] the Dawg Pound.

Hucka D.:

Cleveland rocks, though. Ask Drew.

Plant:

Hi.

bb:

Hi Plant.

Hucka D.:

Ooops, he’s gone.

bb:

Hi Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Plant said you found the Plant City connection. Good! Morningside is Drews, yes?

bb:

Yes?

Hucka D.:

Not as interesting, you see. Barren [of imagination]. Water level 10 meters lower. Artificial division between the two sides of Second Sink. *

bb:

That the official name now? Second Sink?

Hucka D.:

Why not. Or Second Synk.

bb:

When I reach the age of Robert Plant Variant, it will be gone, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Enjoy!

Plant:

Hi.

bb:

Yes, hello Plant. You have something to say tonight?

Plant:

No.

Hucka D.:

So you’re going to Driver, Arkansas aren’t you? Wilson-Driver? Deckerville. Gilmore. Marked Tree. Truemann. Herman. Herman.

bb:

The 2 Hermans? Just looked that up for pagination on Sunday, I believe.

Hucka D.:

You should work on that through the blog. Might help Chilbo even.

bb:

I did think about 78, 156, 234.

Plant:

Page.

bb:

Page*s*. 78 apart.

Hucka D.:

Triangle. Which one’s First.

moibustriangle

* We’re referring to the second largest sink of Sunklands in the Drews and Oolamoo sims, or what’s formerly been called the Oolamoo-Drews sink.

S. and W. of Sunklands, 02 October 13, 2009

This semi-interesting patch of land is found by Ol’ Runnin’ Baker in the southwest corner of Reverie, just past the Akira info hub just discussed in the last post. Baker is running on an unpaved Linden protected roadway. In looking at Fleep Tuque’s handy map of current or projected Jeogeot roadways, see that this is a part of Route 9.

Snapshot1354_015smaller

A little further up Route 9, then, Baker spies a mountain to the west. He knows an isolated highland region exists there; will have to certainly go back and take pictures for the blog soon.

Snapshot1354_018smaller

A camera shy, animated bunny Baker encounters just off the roadway in Strata, on banned land however. Quite a bizarre spectacles, um, spectacle.

Snapshot1354_022smaller

Pink Floyd symbolism encountered along Route 9 somewhere as well (Moon + Wall again, or Moonwall).

Snapshot1354_024smaller

Baker runs into a short tempered security orb which forces him to teleport quickly away. He chooses what he know will be a safe nearby haven: Lill Burn Valley, not far to the west. *This* is how a dry sink should look folks!

Snapshot1354_025smaller

Then this same night Baker decides to head over to Big Island in the Comet Archipelago as well, just the reminisce about the old days (old like 1 month ago!). But realistically Big I. still has to go. As of today have less than 2 days left on my tier. Too much happening in Sunklands and also Chilbo (and Ephant for that matter… although that may go soon too).

We Must Press Forward, Hucka D., 01 August 20, 2009

Filed under: Carrcass+8,Hucka D.,Marty,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett,Sunklands — baker Blinker @ 6:45 am

“We must press forward, Hucka D.”

Hucka D.:

I have a secret.

bb:

What’s that, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Marty is here.

Marty:

Hi baker. Figure out the holes yet?

bb:

I’m not sure. Do you know of Sophie’s No. 9? Do you know of the Jordan Beatles Project?

Marty:

Yes.

bb:

Walt SIDney’s Fantasia 2000?

Marty:

Yeah.

bb:

Can you explain Penny Lane and Arnold Layne, or the SIDney archetype… to the reader or readers of this blog?

Marty:

SID was born there.

bb:

I’m looking over the old Booker T. Archive stuff. Marty, have you heard of the BTA, by chance?

Marty:

A little.

bb:

Here’s the post… actually 3 linked posts. (pause to re-read) “The Circle of Beetles, having fixed the position of Circle of Floyd in time/space and equalized it to itself, drops away.” Do you agree with this statement?

Marty:

I fixed my own circle to the Circle of Beetles as well, allowing it to drop away. You need to re-write the Archive.

bb:

You’re talking about Band on the Run, then.

Marty:

Parallels with Dark Side of the Moon, after all, and not consciously created. Like the phrase “on the run” being the title of a song off this Pink Floyd album.

bb:

Do you know of Dark Side of the Yellow Submarine synchronicity as well?

Marty:

Some. You’ve seen a yellow submarine recently. In Yello [sim].

bb:

Yes. Couple of days ago. The Nowhereland of Dark Side of the Yellow Submarine is escaped from, moving it beyond Dark Side of the Rainbow also using Dark Side of the Moon as the cuing album.

Marty:

That was where the needle was lowered back down onto the album, if I remember correctly.

bb:

The album Dark Side of the Moon begins to repeat itself, yes. But in Dark Side of the Rainbow, according to my theories, there is no repeat. Just the one playing, then the needle is forever lifted up and not lowered down again.

Marty:

The Beetles (pause) The peak…

bb:

Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields?

Marty:

Yes… in a way.

bb:

That is the ultimate Lennon/McCartney release to many.

Marty:

Yes… The Beetles were a little different. I was conscious of the Penny Lane and Arnold Layne, um, collision. I was able to guide it. In 1970 things happened, then, after the first circle was left.

bb:

Circle of Beetles, you mean?

Marty:

You can say that, yes. Two albums were releases, one strong and one less strong. But it’s not Lennon and my albums. It’s Lennon and…

bb (jumping in):

Barrett.

Marty:

Yes. Lennon… we call him Lenin, no, Lemon in this dimension [I’ll work on it]. He was what you would call a Firehead. He wanted a certain element added. So that’s what happened. The Bill, you see.

bb:

We can talk about this through The Bill. Interesting.

Marty:

A core diagram was set up, unique at the time. It consisted of 24 elements arranged in a circle. This was the alphabet, with A and Z combined or fused into one letter A/Z, and then M and N doing the same on the opposite side of the circle: M/N, then.

petemond

bb:

Interesting. Oh… this is Petemond (?!)

Marty:

Yes. That’s right. Kind of. This is Petemond. How did you put it? A town was sent.

bb:

Petemond was from both Arizona — AZ — and New Mexico — NM?

Marty:

Yes.

bb:

Is this the birth of Uniko?

[Marty doesn’t answer this.]

Hucka D.:

Fascinating information, baker b. Marty is helping… well, he’s helping. Nice fellow. Wish I knew him before I died. And now you know how Petemond began.

bb:

I just remembered there is a picture that relates to this idea occurring very early in my blog here, Hucka D. The event takes place in the treehouse in ____, long since derezzed, unfortunately. The opening of an eye. Oh, yes, and you were there Hucka D. But in a different form than the present one.

Hucka D.:

That would be the purple, ape-like avatar. That’s still in the future. K.C. Life. Or maybe it’s the far past. Maybe both.

bb:

Here’s the picture I’m thinking of, from a February 2008 post. Almost at the very beginning, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

Yeah… er, that’s Petemond, baker b.

bb:

What is the eye that then opens in the next frame?

Hucka D.:

It looks like, according to your text, that the eye was opened first and then closed. Too much bright.

bb:

Closing of the eye represents formation of Petemond?

Hucka D.:

Um… sure.

bb:

Should I look…

Hucka D. (completing baker b.’s thoughts):

You should look at the Fall 87 Sketchbook pictures again, specifically the one with the octagon hut.

bb:

Like one pictured here in the Greenup series. Greenup 12.

Hucka D.:

What is the purple martin?

bb:

It is the 9th? Sophie’s No. 9?

Hucka D.:

Yes. You should think of The Bill more. Who they were, where they lived. They still live. Bill. There. Who.

bb:

Thank you.

Gallery Picture, Then… August 5, 2009

A better view of the whole Noru gallery complex, minus the main structure, b_hivia, which sits way up in the sky instead. In the center you have the Temple of TILE with the newly added circle-based tower I’ve been speaking about in the blog lately.

Then it’s on to new Atoll continent mysteries. Thanks, Flynn, for recent information about the history of Cypa and Sylvia, courtesy of one of its current residents. For the record, Flynn, who I’ve mentioned several times before in this blog (and who is a long time email friend, minus the more recent SL connection), rents in the Sylvia sim currently, and spoke of some odd similarities concerning the name of the sim, the next sim over to the west (Cypa), and then a parcel called Syd’s Place in Cypa but bordering Sylvia. In teleporting over to examine the place for myself after her initial email about renting there, I landed right in front of a quite nice duplex, I suppose you could say, and seeing the rent was really cheap there, promptly rented the southernmost of the two units. That was about a week ago, and until today I hadn’t had a chance to go back because of the building projects/moving projects I’ve been involved in. Now that’s resolved (hopefully!), I can get more involved in exploring, perhaps starting with Sylvia/Cypa. So I was able to get back to the rental apt. today, after a follow-up IM from Flynn inworld about the history of Sylvia/Cypa from that long time resident. I won’t relay details, but several things struck me about the history as it was summarized to me. The first concerns the relationship between the sim names Sylvia and Cypa, and Syd of Syd’s Place. Apparently all this is coincidence, as the Lindens named the sims in 2005 when the Atoll continent was originally formed. An avatar named Waleis Moseley owns both Syd’s Place in Cypa, and the majority of the adjacent Sylvia sim as well. Most of the Sylvia land Mosely owns is under the New Beginnings rubric, but the person who contacted Flynn also stated there are presently 3 other, smaller Moseley owned Sylvia parcels set aside for the “convenience of managing media.” One is named Diamond, for the current renter’s first name. When I read this, I immediately thought of Syd Barrett and the famous tribute song about him composed by Pink Floyd called “Shine on You Crazy Diamond”, on the Wish You Were Here album from 1975 (the album title also may refer directly to Syd). I won’t go into the story of Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett again, but instead point interested readers to the Barrett wikipedia article. But the presence of a Diamond parcel added to the Syd mystery brewing in this area.

To the name Syd’s Place itself, where I have my own current rental: apparently when Waleis Moseley first came to Sylvia in 2005, an avatar named Syd or Sydney was already living there. This might be Sydney 30 — yes, in searching for this name came up with a profile for “Sydney Thirty”, who must be the same. It’s a woman avatar (I was personally thinking male avatar, like Syd Barrett). Hmmm, apparently some kind of slave (?) of Moseley. Well, we won’t dwell on that aspect, but just to note that there *was* a “real Syd” in Sylvia, and that this Syd, again according to the note sent to Flynn, left Second Life in 2006. Then the note states — this again really, really interested me — it’s possible that you’ll still see Syd in Sylvia, although it won’t be the real Syd but a ghost (!). This again was much like Syd Barrett, who left from Pink Floyd in 1968 but retained a spectre like presence for the group down through the years.

Now to the maps below. When Flynn originally told me about the Syd name “coincidences” surrounding geographically connected Sylvia/Cypa/Syd’s Place, I told her that the Rubi sim where I first found a picture of Syd Barrett in Second Life is immediately west of both Sylvia and Cypa. In double checking this today (after knowing about the detailed history of Sylvia/Cypa), I noted the grid location of my Cypa apt., and then teleported over to Rubi to see what I could find on the same latitude. Firstly, I noticed a green dot near my Cypa apt., but in scanning the area could find no avatar. No big deal. But as I subsequently walked around the apt. to find the exact grid locations, the green dot moved closer; in fact, it seemed to be in the same apt as me, but, again, upon checking found no one there. I though that it may be just my own location trace — that might be part of it — but when I teleported over to Rubi, I decided on a hunch to find the odd triple 97 that marked the beginning point of my explorations of the Rubi Diagonal. My regular blog readers may remember at least an inkling of this from a series of posts on the Diagonal from last fall, found in the Rubi Forest category of the blog. I eventually found the 97,97,97 spot on the map, as demonstrated below.

Snapshot4000_005smaller

Here’s the really queer part of this particular aspect of the subject. When I shifted over to Cypa and my apt. using the SL map, either my trace was still there in the symbol of a green dot, or someone else was still there. Again, it was probably my trace. But when I clicked on it, miraculously the “97, 97” popped up (!). The last “97” was explained by the fact that the elevation I would teleport into would be the same as where I was standing in Rubi. But the middle “97” means that *that green dot*, whether it was the last place I was standing in Cypa or where someone else was currently standing, was situated *exactly east* of the 97, 97, 97 triple point in Rubi. Could it have been the aforementioned “ghost of Syd” if not my trace? And, if so, I could ask, “*which Syd*?” (Thirty or *Barrett*).*

I also should point to my quite mysterious dialog with Hucka Doobie upon first visiting the Rubi sim and finding the Barrett/Floyd picture in Zarek Lock’s gallery, just before I bought land there myself and stayed for 4 additional months. It’s, then, also the earliest post you’ll find in the Rubi Forest category of this blog. To summarize, Hucka Doobie paints the picture of Barrett as a ghost or spectre that perhaps haunts the Rubi Forest. Creeps!

Add all this up, and I think you get a pretty deep mystery. At any rate, I rented in Cypa for another week; I’ll relay any new developments asap.

* I should add that when I teleported back over to Cypa after this to see if anyone was there, discovered only an empty apt. once again.

“E” Exhibit, 03 July 6, 2009

Filed under: "E",Korean Channel/Inland Sea,Nowtown/Zen City,Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett — baker Blinker @ 7:00 am

Moving up to floor 3 of Big E, we now run into more pictures from the Korean Channel, like this nice dawn shot from the quite green, rolling hills of Xilted again.

Snapshot1109_030smaller

And then of Karoz in Kenfield on floor 4, beside the keyhole shaped bay, its most prominent feature.

Snapshot1109_034smaller

Then on the next floor up (5th, overall) Karoz curiously yields to Baker Bloch in further Jeogeot related pictures, which is explained in the titles/descriptions of the pictures themselves (once again, just move your mouse pointer over the pictures in the exhibit to see this text). Essentially, we’ve now moved beyond Karoz’s Pink Floyd album related “magic circle” defined by the yellow circles on the Jeogeot maps to the left of Baker Bloch here. One important switchover point can be identified with the Korean Channel: Karoz’s circular influence includes to the lower 1/2 of the protected land around this channel but not the upper 1/2.

An additional feature of the big E are these phantom openings that allow visitors to walk onto the outer surfaces of this giant letter. One such opening allows Baker Bloch here to walk over the map of the Fernstar sim, and gaze up at part of the volcano centered island (Ichelus half) that also acts as a telehub for the region.

The other half of this volcanic island appears on the surface just around the corner from Baker Bloch.

And then Big E from the top, depicting another interesting island near the volcanic one that actually hasn’t been visited yet by Karoz, I don’t believe. I’ll have to remedy that soon.
