Otherland 3d; Atoll Continent; Egan Sim August 19, 2009

Thought I’d give out this helpful link (see under “helpful links” to right as well) because it gives a 3d rendition of Otherland Island #1 (right picture), where I lived this past winter. I don’t see my shack at the bay I lived on (just to the left of avatar’s left hand, the one standing on the map), although the map seems to be made at the general time it was there.

The Verloren Castle (larger structure surrounded by moat near the middle of the picture) is no longer on Otherland Island #1, but instead located within a 3 sim island nearby. It’s still in the Verloren sim, though, and you are still free to visit it. As I mentioned in this earlier post, Otherland was recently sold by the original owners/creators. Shame.

Some of the older posts from the Spinmass blog also give some interesting glimpses as to how the Atoll continent developed in 2005. Such as this one.

Well, here’s definitely one of those SL “aha!” moments, because unbeknownst to me beforehand, the very next post helps to explain the mysterious glyph I found in Egan which I recorded here last fall. So it was the phrase “Ben Wuz Here”, and did connect to Ben Linden, as I speculated at the time. Amazing! And another thing that’s now gone from the grid.

Hope the owner of SpinMass doesn’t mind me posting one of his images here, but it was too good to pass over the chance…

Light Being… For A Moment October 19, 2008

I logged in as Baker Bloch the other night and was amazed to find that Mr. Bloch had turned into an oval of light! This is the first time this kind of transformation has happened, although Baker Bloch has been known to turn into a woman now and then. In those cases, however, the avatar is basically the same — same arm bands, same mask, same hat, and so on — just the shape has changed. Here the body is *gone*. And wherever I teleported the effect didn’t go away.

Here I am at the Egan sim again, for example.

Then went over to the gallery, logged out, logged back on…

…and Baker Bloch as we all know and love him returns. Phew!

Roubideux Creek/Spring?? October 18, 2008

Was very interested in Hucka D.’s comments concerning “Ben” and “Grizzly” regarding the Egan glyph, and the fact that Grizzly, Montana is one of 2 lone variation names that pop up in querying the name “Egan” in the GNIS database query. Grizzly is also very near the southwest edge of Glacier National Park. Thinking here about how the very day I found the Egan glyph I deleted a couple of Glacier National Park photos from the gallery to make room for more Grandfather Mountain pictures. The GNP photos are by Klutzy Kamper; Grandfather Mtn. photos in the gallery are contributed by both Klutzy and Edna Blinker.

Completing the triangle of coincidences, moving them into the realm of true synchronicity in my opinion, is the fact that Grizzly Adams of tv and movie fame had a famous bear friend named *Ben*, mirroring the supposed name in the Egan glyph, and the only one you can make out at all on the SL map.

To me this also might end the synchy trail centered by the Ross Sea by adding the punctuation “and bears” to the “lions, tigers, and bears” phrase from The Wizard of Oz now obviously (to me again) related.

I thought I’d also research Rubideaux Creek and Rubideaux Spring located just north of Grizzly, Montana, since that also came up in my recent chat with Hucka D. To briefly recap, he mentioned a place called “Rubi Doo” and also “Rock Roast” in a recent chat, and connected it with the Mossman’s Rock Gods that I haven’t written about yet in any detail in this blog. Will rectify that soon.

So I googled “Rubideux Creek” and came up with no hits except the posts from my own blog, but the google site suggested one, similar phase: “Roubideaux Creek”. So I tried that and found a list dominated by one creek of this name in Missouri. I found out it also has a well-known spring: Roubideaux Spring, near the mouth of the creek where it empties into the Gasconade River just outside Waynesville. Thinking of Rubideaux Ck. in Montana also having a same name spring attached to it. 5 down on the hit list, and just before the link to the wikipedia article on this creek, was this link…

BFRO Report 1138: Family witness a 7-8 foot tall creature, covered with hair, standing in the middle of the road

This bigfoot sighting happened to take place directly about Roubideaux Creek and also Robuideaux Spring. Nearby is a well-known underwater cave accessible to scuba divers. A couple more things that perhaps stood out for me: the creature was standing right in the middle of the road on the yellow line according to the reporting witness, almost as if he were *waiting* for them. He also “froze up” there for 30 seconds according to this witness before leaping or bounding off the highway. Also, another car happened to stop coming from the other direction at the same time, and also left at the same time. Both cars also stopped after passing the creature, which would have then been illuminated only by the taillights of each.

Now I’m going to leave this report alone for now, but it did occur to me to associate bears, grizzlies, and bigfoot together in this tangle. And, dare I say it? Perhaps even *mossmen*??

All for now.

“I’m attempting to chat w/ you more Hucka D. now, since we’ll be on vacation for a couple of days this weekend.”

Hucka D.:

Thank you.

*****

bb:

Obviously I believe I need to talk to Klutzy Kamper about “Ben.”

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

And this is a direct continuation of the cat theme of the Ross Sea. Lions and tigers are both cats. I just found a leopard in the Cowardly sim of one of the new continents. And now…

Hucka D.:

A bear.

bb:

I have a lot of questions on this one. I don’t know how many can be answered here.

Hucka D.:

Smithy wishes to talk, but I don’t know how many questions of hers can be answered either.

bb:

Should I talk to Smithy, then?

Hucka D.:

Might not hurt.

Smithy:

Ben?

bb:

Yes, it’s a word I found on the bottom of a sea in Second Life. Do you know about SL? Can’t remember if I asked you before.

Smithy:

Yes. Second. Reborn.

bb:

I think the Mossmen are involved.

Smithy:

Cornersville. Control.

bb:

You can barely make it out. Like the Torley cubes in Kerchal. Uranus again. Just on the edge of perception. Visual.

Smithy:

There’s a hole. Here.

Hucka D.:

She/he is tired. She/he goes back to the shadows once more.

bb:

When you mentioned Rubi Doo, did you know of the Rubideaux Creek in Montana, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

So you knew about the Ben glyph on the bottom of the sea floor in SL.

Hucka D.:

Yep.

bb:

You know who did it.

Hucka D.:

Mossmen.

bb:

This has something directly to do with Glacier National Park, though. Grizzly Adams. Ben. Egan. It’s obvious.

Hucka D.:

You need to speak to Klutzy. You need to set aside your prejudice about [delete name]. It’s just another way of getting to endgame.

bb:

We were fed to the lions?

Hucka D.:

No.

bb:

Darkness. Ross Sea. Lions. African-Americans. Obama. Win. Yippie! (pause). Sorry, I got distracted.

Hucka D.:

BEN.

Another Sansara Mystery…

Found this glyph at the bottom of one of the southernmost seas of Sansara. Hucka D. and I chat about it a little in the above post. It’s obviously meant to spell something out, but trouble is I can’t make out the message, nor can the couple of people who graciously took some time from their busy schedule to teleport over to Egan to help me with this. It looks like 3 words, arranged in separate lines, with the top word furtherest right (west) and the bottom word furtherest left (east). Originally I thought the top word might be “Ben”, and it still might be. I can make out the beginning letter of the middle word, “W”, but that’s about all. And the third word is even more faint.

A theory I’ve hashed out to friends is that it is a kind of botched attempt at creating an underwater glyph that you can see from the air or on the SL map, which the famous Omidyar hand is perhaps the best example of. But who botched it up I haven’t the foggiest. Research comes up with nada so far… no mention of the Egan sim in a google search, and the only thing I can find in Snapzilla is a shot of a pirate ship of some kind. Haven’t checked the SL forums but my guess is that nothing will be found there either.

Here’s Baker Bloch inspecting the ridges of the glyph on the sea floor in Egan.

Thought I’d provide this snapshot because Baker Bloch began his evening at a Pink Floyd themed club and then finds himself underwater on the property of a Zeppelin oriented club. He had to surface to check it out. Rock on! (Hey, Rock Gods again).

Meanwhile, the Edwardston Station Gallery is about ready to re-open (!) Here’s a preview of the Land of Oz floor of the gallery. There’s the black lion I’ve mentioned before.

Sepaking of which, I do have a theory about the Egan glyph, as I’ll call it. It’s a direct continuation of all the Ross Sea weirdness, just as examining the sea it’s in is a direct continuation of the Ross Sea explorations. It was simply the next sea down on the continent to explore — I’d already explored the seas to the north. But I don’t think it is an accident that the first word, the easiest to make out, at least *looks* like “Ben.” To summarize real quickly (as I must move on to creating text for other posts here), I believe that Ben stands for *bear*, as in the famous bear Ben on the Grizzly Adams tv show and related movies. And it is a direct continuation of the Ross Sea comple symbolically through the chanted line “lions, tigers, and bears, oh my”, from The Wizard of Oz movie.

I’ll try to go into this in more detail soon but to me this tie-in is pretty obvious. And it has something to do with other pictures in the gallery, namely the couple dealing with Glacier National Park on the level above Edna’s Land of Oz pictures.
