bb:

This is Middlesboro, OWZ, if you’re there.

OWZ:

I’m kind of always here. For you. But I choose it as well. If I can bring my bemused audience along. (OWZ turns around to look at the suddenly manifested audience, giving them a thumbs up. They laugh appreciatively.)

bb:

We’ll give it a try.

OWZ:

Well it is a great song, like the reviewer says.

—–

bb:

High compliment from you.

OWZ:

Not really.

bb:

So what is the welding of Village Green and Centerville, this central mystery to the side of all else, perhaps.

—–

bb:

Turns out that reviewer, Robert Christgau, didn’t seem to like you too much OMZ.

OWZ:

I checked through you as well. Don’t know the fellow. Doesn’t understand what he’s talking about. But that’s the new paradigm I’m dealing with. Reed, Kinks… all these fellows I didn’t know about before that latch onto me and I onto them. Without knowing it. I’m different because I’m presently on the other side looking in. I *have* to deal with this to progress forward. I’m doing this from the *present*. (pause)

bb:

Do you know of the Art Line?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

Hi again, Hucka.

Hucka D.:

Hi. OWZ is gone. Back to the present.

—–

bb:

OWZ is top five[ on The Table]. Don’t you think that makes him happy?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

The Kinks rise up as well, but not quite that far. And Queen.

—–

bb:

It looks like Sink Floyd and The Bill will always remain on top. I don’t think The Residues have a chance to catch those two, nor The Beetles.

Hucka D.;

We don’t talk a lot about Sink Floyd because their influence sort of ended[ on The Table] considerably before the creation of this blog. So: yeah.

bb:

Billfork was a handoff between Sink Floyd and The Bill. So that’s why they remain The Bill I suppose. I guess.

Hucka D.:

Billfork Agreement.

bb:

Glad we can say that.

Hucka D.:

OWZ.

—–

bb:

Why aren’t The Kinks assigned a variant name, Hucka D.? Is it because all of the members are still alive?

Hucka D.:

Kynks. Cinks.

bb:

Is that a yes?

Hucka D.:

Ask OWZ. Oh… he’s left.

—–

bb:

Was each band or variant band allowed to protect one or two songs, Hucka D.?

Hucka D.:

Yes. For The Kinks: Waterloo Sunset. For Buie: Life on Mars. For The Beetles: one you wouldn’t obviously think of. For Sink Floyd: one off of Piper. For Queen…

bb:

Another group without a variant name, seemingly.

Hucka D.:

Qween, then. And then Ueen. They exchange u and w.

bb:

That might be interesting. Wonder if there’s other connections?

Hucka D.:

But still we have Kinks sitting out there all naked and open. Then there’s Dr. Blood… he may be Kink as you’ve theorized it.

bb:

Dr. Blood is from the future. Tin S. Man.

—–

bb:

The Residues are set to make a jump; OWZ is set to make a jump. The Beetles and Qween will make at least small jumps if not large jumps. But the gap betueen The Residues and The Beetles may grow larger.

Hucka D.:

They must grow and expand together. All the active ones at the top of The Table. That is the way for the carcasses to progress. Carcass-7 is next — can’t wait.

—–

bb:

L. Johnton will jump up.

Hucka D.:

Let’s see… there’s an unknown waiting to move up swiftly through the rank and file. Could be this Father Fred or Henry L. Cow… no relation to L. Johnton that I know of.

bb:

On the video side, we have, let’s see once more…

Hucka D. (chipping in):

The Wizard of Oz and Yellow Submarine.

bb:

Nice. Should have said that myself. (smile)

Hucka D.:

Red Squirt 7?

—–

bb:

What else[ video-wise]? (pause to check source) Lavender Hill Gang?

Hucka D.:

Mob. Wab… Wad… Mod.

bb:

LOST and Sideways. Maybe Sphere again.

—–

bb:

Leftover bits and pieces from 1Pink.

Hucka D.:

The collage of course.

bb:

Yes.

—–

Ann Wesderson:

And the Ann Wesderson stuff.
