Square Island Pond in Google Maps.

“Rock’s House” (upper center) in relation to SIP. Notice the size of the bamboo grove in back.

Now notice the increase in size of same here. The map shots appear to date from 2006 (first) and 2010 (second).

The Square Island at the heart of Square Island Pond. Super mysterious indeed — automatically made me pull over to the side of the road when I spotted it while we were heading to the Bristol Starbucks. It was sync at first sight.

Nearby Hi-Lo Burgers just up the Lee Highway. Much more on all this soon.
