Golden Way? March 14, 2012

“There were two roads out of Ashton, a new one which was paved, and an older one that wasn’t. People didn’t use the old road anymore, and it had developed the reputation of being haunted. Well, Since I had no intention of ever returning to Ashton, this seemed as good a time as any to find out what lay down that old road.”

~ Edward Bloom, Big Fish

Got a good night’s rest last night for a change, Hucka D. (pause) Hucka? (pause)

Anyway, I went back to TILE Creek today after work and determined that the only way into Hermania from the south would be from Long Way, specifically a place I have proposed to call Tween Hill (name subject to quick chance). From Tween Hill you have to head across a boggy area to Stick Stack to get to Hermania, roughly in a straight line. To remind, Tween Hill is positioned be*tween* the two water flows Long Way crosses in its projected journey from the Mars Beach region to Jupiter Beach. I suppose in thinking about it the “hill” lies between the two perhaps oppositely polarized beaches as well.

Project: I must now likewise clear out all the sticks from Stick Stack, former an open area before I used it as a type of refuge dump for Hermania clearance (although the name may stay the same afterwards). For Long Way to enter Hermania from Tween Hill it must pass directly through Stick Stack.

And I have received my train track (!) — 24 pieces of 027 gauge that I’ll probably set up somewhere in this general area. My preliminary guess on the location is either in Hermania itself, resulting more in a circular track if so, or even running between Hermania and Tween Hill through Stick Stack, resulting in more of a straight line effect. Can’t wait to piece it together and take pictures.

So the more or less straight line path (projected) between Tween Hill and Hermania has been highlighted now.

Hucka D.:

Stick Stack was a place of marbles of all colors. Color People they called them in Hermania.

bb:

Humanoid avatars in Hermania?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Herman.

bb:

I wonder if Hermania has its own poet laureate, like Spectre’s Norther Winslow?

Hucka D.:

Sits by the bog. Composing inept poems. Well… *I* liked them.

bb:

Mission Impossible to get to Hermania from Long Way, almost. Mission Improbable I meant.

Hucka D.:

56 again… sorry once more.

bb:

T’is all right. 56 again [5 and 6]:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_Stab/Buster_%26_Glen

So the marbles were seen as a type of inferior people or avatars I mean…

Hucka D.:

… but they were indigenous to the area. That word again.

bb:

The Marbles, being divided into the 4 basic color groups, must have formed at least a rudimentary TILE religion.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Indeed.

bb:

Now the question is whether the Marbles were at Stick Stack or Tween Hill.

Hucka D.:

Maybe both.

bb:

And Mossmen were here.

Hucka D.:

Not native to the area[ though].

bb:

Mmmmmm’s coming from the Meadow Just above. From the direction of Meeting Rock, then.

Hucka D.:

Then.

bb:

King Bill in the area and his martin messenger.

Hucka D.:

That martin bug went everywhere. Some called it a bird but that was a degenerative term. ‘Nother one.

bb:

Some probably said he was an actual orange instead of an orange Mmmmmm.

Hucka D.:

Legend does that.

bb:

So Hermania was founded by Herman, a human toy avatar like Dirk Stew.

Hucka D.:

You must buy another Mossman.

bb:

And order more train track. To Etsy!

It was during the Laughing Song that the people of Spectre knew they were in Astra really. ASHTON. The key is “Laughing Song” is 5th song of Duck Stab/Buster and Glen and “Bach is Dead” is 6th song. 5 and 6, like Astra and Jupiter are 5th and 6th planets. YOU’RE IN MY SONG. Bach being dead means Spectre is dead to Edward Bloom, who is leaving it via the, um, Short Way. LONG WAY IN SHORT WAY OUT. Bach is the attempt to catch the Big Fish, but that’s death, Hucka D. NOT.
