First and Second Life at least.

More decisions… March 20, 2011

Options:

* Improve the “Jeogeot through Art and Word” exhibit now it has been officially moved (start) into the new, giant Blue Feather structure of Pietmond. And I’m thinking that there’s even room in the upper stories for yet another exhibit of some kind, perhaps featuring one of the Jeogeot artists included in the JtAaW exhibit. Have to think more on all that.

* *Don’t* improve this exhibit, and just delete the Blue Feather from Pietmond, perhaps deleting the town itself in the process. SoSo West, after all, is a bit ruined.

So that’s basically the options. Two biggies. I also presently rent in northern Chilbo but that’s a cheap place and I plan to stay there for a while. Even have a name for that particular structure now: Dogpatch. Lemme provide a picture of what I’ve set up inside presently…

It’s the entire, 10 part Newton collage series, starting at the door and working around two of the 4 walls, northwest to southeast then. The reason? Well, Dogpatch, the US of A town, is located in a Newton County, Arkansas. That’s the short answer.

Hucka D.:

The town is gathered.

Warren Zeevon:

I, of course, vote no on the deletion of Pietmond from the Second Life grid. How could you think of such a think, baker b.? Don’t you love Pietmond? Or at least like it a whole lot?

bb:

I like it a whole, whole lot, Warren. Just the focus right now is more on the outdoors — toy avatars and such — and also I’d like to return Baker Bloch to Wiltshire County, England. So it’s more a focus issue.

Warren Zeevon:

You won’t be able to get it back once given up.

bb:

Maybe.

Warren Zeevon:

I staunchly oppose, still.

bb:

How ’bout you, Hucka D.? Hucka Doobie.

Hucka D.:

I’ll let Warren speak my part.

bb:

So that means you oppose the deletion as well?

Warren Zeevon:

You simply haven’t dug deep enough into the Pietmond mythology yet, baker b.

bb:

I can do that from Norum. That’s my counter-argument.

Hucka D.:

So you plan to rent more or own more in Norum now?

bb:

Again: maybe.

Hucka D.:

Warren, it seems he’s locked in to a different path. A non-Pietmond path at this time and place. It’s a time of change.

bb:

6 months is a long time to hold onto one, particular place in SL for me, Warren.

Warren Zeevon (crying):

You better (sniff) think about all this you’re doing (sniff). You just better (blows nose).

bb:

I promise I will, Warren.

Hucka D.:

So let’s talk about the options. What happens in a Pietmond-less Second Life and Real Life?

bb:

The focus goes back to Norum-Chilbo a bit. More Norum I suppose. Time to head back; be absorbed in that, particular region again.

Hucka D.:

What of “Jeogeot Through Art and Word”? I thought you were going to develop that further, push the envelope.

bb:

I still could.

Hucka D.:

But not in a Pietmond-less SL and RL.

bb:

Um… not sure. I could certainly hop around Jeogeot galleries again. In fact, I was doing so today.

Hucka D.:

Let’s run down the Pietmond galleries that would be affected by this sweeping change. SoSo’s, Norum, CHRO.

bb:

Outside of the Gallery in the Rocks, they’ve all had at least 2 months run time now. I’d advertise that Pietmond will soon go away, and then let avatars visit one last time if they wish before the whole thing is deleted. Or just abandoned.

==========

The changes start at least: deletion of now empty Tower of TILE and also the movement of Gallery in the Rocks to what was formerly the center of the Newton-Jasper Memorial Gardens. Newton and Jasper now hem in this gallery. Meaning? All land east of Cathedral Way is now empty of structures. Forest next for this parcel?

I believe I’ll also move Mike’s SoSo West art to the Pietmond South Gallery for better exposure, and perhaps Julie Sadler’s work in Norum as well. Hmmm… everything seems to be conglomerating in Pietmond South now, minus the huge Blue Feather structure of course, or making room for that perhaps whole, separate project thingie. SoSo East and CHRO next to the TILE Temple cannot be moved, most likely, nor Lime House now.
