“Call that number again, baker Beach.”

bb:

Hi Plant. Hucka D. not around tonight?

Plant:

He’ll be over here in just a minute, I believe. Flight delay.

bb:

Interesting. You eating tonight again, Mr. Plant?

Plant:

No. Already done.

bb:

I’ve been exploring around Big Sink. Did you know that?

Plant:

Yeah, not much in these pits, is there. Why don’t you move back to Norumbega.

bb:

You mean Noru. Well… I liked it there a lot; I like Sunklands better. More options, for only a little more money.

Plant:

The Hammer of the Gods Place? I lived there. I blocked Marty from the center of the sink.

bb:

So you’re saying it isn’t coincidence that the name is the same as the tribute band or the book.

Plant:

Nah, that’s one’s pretty obvious. We wanted to protect the center, but Marty outfoxed us. He simply became The Residents. All Residents. That’s called teaming up, baker Beach.

bb:

So you originally had him trapped or cornered in Moa?

Plant:

We finally had all that under control. It took me quite a while to make my way down to this center, you understand. Several levels of purification had to be made… had to make my way through ’em. Then I got my plot; I was so happy. Had to put up with Marty, but you see he was cornered… shoved aside. But I was set up.

bb:

By Peter?

Plant:

No. Your Peter of Norumbega wasn’t around. Dr. Blood. He set me up.

bb:

What was Karoz’s role in this?

Plant:

He carved the diamond of 32 prims. They inserted it at the center, just beyond my land. I was close but not at the center. Then Vortextra formed. Or was sealed up.

bb:

You seemed confused. Seem confused, I mean.

Plant:

Huh?

bb:

Hucka D., I believe, has indicated Chilbo may have been conceived in a tent by that massive hole, Mr. Plant. Alice and Kerchal are the proud parents.

Plant:

That was Dr. Blood [‘s project].

bb:

Did Big Sink truly look like Hucka D.’s selected print, Mr. Plant?

Plant:

Plant’s the name. Just Plant. Yeah, it was pretty pretty.

bb:

Can you tell us about some of the other residents now?

Plant:

They were all Marty. Became Marty. He was in each and every one of ’em. Fox. Clem. Dingos. Foxes.

bb:

Outfoxed?

Plant:

In an ideal world, you should buy that Pudding Hill plot, baker Beach. The central one of course. But you won’t now. Here.

bb:

Who owned the central plot at the time?

Plant:

The Bakers, of course. That’s all they owned. Or so they said.

bb:

The Bakers… Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker?

Plant:

Yes. You two, the two of you inside you, were married. Id and Superego… sorry, animus and anima. That rebis you talk about. You honeymooned at Rubidoo… sorry again, Rubisea. You brought Hucka D. with you. He was in the house as well. You build, well, you built the temple here.

bb:

When we, us, moved here, was the community of the sink already in place?

Plant:

You were invited here, like everyone else, like me.

bb:

By Dr. Blood?

Plant:

You need to further figure out your relationship with Peter, baker Beach. He created the sinks, Big Sink included. It was a bleedthrough from the real world.

bb:

Sunk Lands, Arkansas? Sunklands, Missouri?

Plant:

The Bakers sacrificed their fine home, their plot, their temple, so that the hole could form. This virtual reality was better off with the hole forming. Chilbo was born.

bb:

Was Chilbo an actual child?

[Plant doesn’t answer.]

bb:

Mr. Plant? Plant?

Hucka D.:

I was there.

bb:

Hello Hucka D. You were with The Bakers in that reality as well. Can we determine a specific point where the realities split apart?

Hucka D.:

Think back on your Hidalgo collage series. Think back on the death of Charles Nelson Blinkerton of Hidalgo County, New Mexico. Think back on when I walked down to the house in Azure Islands when the flower was plucked, as a bee now and not very human atall. Think further back to the treehouse and the purple alien version of me. Think of Rodeo and the portal… that was before Azure Islands as well. Somewhere in all that is a specific clue.

bb:

Was Azure Islands even involved in that reality?

Hucka D.:

SL did not look exactly like it did in your reality. Rubisea played a larger role.

bb:

What of Chilbo in *this* reality? What was the difference between this Chilbo and that Chilbo?

Hucka D.:

You mean Vortextra conceived Chilbo? My father was there for one. CUBUS was around still. The Bank. My father funded Chilbo. He extended it beyond the present range through power and influence. It became, in essence, the whole continent, including Sunklands. Including Nowtown and Zen City. Including Sternberg and the Korean Channel. Chilbo and Jeogeot were one. Still are in a sense.

bb:

Chilbo was in charge of the Sunklands project (!)

Hucka D.:

Yes, you can say that. A second Chilbo was born there, or conceived there. A special Chilbo.

bb:

Chilbol?

Hucka D.:

Big Sink is 8 sims. Big Island *was* 7 sims. It’s gone now, baker b. Sorry. I was there as well. Peter moved to the mainland to make green. Money. Lindens. Limes.

bb:

Peter then formed Sunklands through his acquired power and influence.

Hucka D.:

Money and power can accomplish many things, especially in a virtual world. There’s quite a difference in being a servant to a couple who owns a 1024 in a relatively undesirable sink and one who owns a whole continent. Oz… Psycho.

bb:

Did your father own the continent, Hucka D.? Kelley, wasn’t it?

Hucka D.:

If so, he would have to own Maebaleia as well. Those two. Rubisea as well, then.

bb:

*He* created the rabbit holes?

Hucka D.:

Think back to your Square, Michigan. Kentucky on edge. Peanut. Bullet… bb. BB.

bb:

Ruuster. We’ve forgotten about R110.

Hucka D.:

I didn’t. How could I?

bb:

You defeated your father.

Hucka D.:

I did it by becoming the lowest of the low and then trapping him through his ego. He never suspected anything.

bb:

You lured him to Big Sink with a pie contest? Baking contest?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Pies.

bb:

We better end.

Hucka D.:

Yes. Thank you.
