First and Second Life at least.

Loose Notes… October 20, 2009

Should be able to catch up with text generation for blog posts in the next several days. Think I have to have a good mix of Hucka D. type posts and descriptive travel posts in order for the blog to function as it should. Rely on one or the other too much and an imbalance is formed. But let’s try Hucka D. tonight anyway. “Hucka D.?”

Hucka D.:

One thing you need to know is that Sunklands is your own domain. It is magical, but it must remain part private. Peter ordered it that way. So none of your friends can follow you into it fully. You must pull the shades on that, and you know why now.

bb:

We’re going to attempt the track the seismic events that created Sunklands very soon, Hucka D. Mythos might be a good topic to discuss at that time.

Hucka D.:

Your friend Flynn needs a blog. (laughs)

bb:

Yeah. Hard to keep up with all the trails. The center of Big Sink is obviously crucial.

Hucka D.;

Fuschia. Diamond.

bb:

Dr. Blood. Can we talk about him now?

Hucka D.:

You’re going to have to attempt another way to understand Big Sink. You are past Big Island now. Blood Dr. is all sealed up, with a Tron video arcade game marking the sealed up point. You know what this is.

bb:

Yeah, it’s a cube [sic].

Hucka D.:

Here everything starts with a cube, baker b.

bb:

Tile.

Hucka D.:

You must go back to old theories and look over. What is the 4th dimension? What is Little Plant’s tube? Doe it belong in The Rat?

bb:

Attention is flying over the top of The Sinks. I can feel it up there, attempting to get in, but can’t.

Hucka D.:

In the once very fertile bottomland, a contest was held. 1780. Chesaw and Saw-chee. The loser donned The Rat suit. You start from there and work your way out to the edges. Trivia Ratsuit. And, also (smiles) the Flaming Pieholes and their [attached expression.] And “Uniko, Da” as well.

bb:

I think Sunklands Today should come out every couple of months at least.

Hucka D.:

Marty is here briefly.

bb:

That was your band, wasn’t it?

Marty:

A variant band, yes.

bb:

You are trying to draw beyond The Residents, aren’t you?

Marty:

Wouldn’t you in my position? Lemon was burning, flaming. He could move beyond The Beetles with ease. Relished the opportunity. It was harder for me. That’s the lesson I’m still learning — here [among other places].

bb:

Who are The Bill, then?

Marty:

You know who they are.

bb:

They created Petemond, then.

Marty:

Petemond is like the I Ching. You have on, [half on] and off, except in this case it is oranges, [lemons] and limes. You must also see how Charles Nelson Blinkerton fits into this. Hucka Doobie went through the Rodeo portal as well. What does that mean [and so on]?

bb:

The Residents, the avatars of [Pudding Hole]…

Marty:

Yes.

bb:

How did you get along with *them*?

Marty:

What do you mean?

bb:

Well, you and Robert Plant Variant had your problems. And you and Lemon as well.

Marty:

Rivalries, pheh. Testosterone.

bb:

But also the juices of creativity.

Marty:

True enough. The higher you climb the harder you fall.

bb:

Who are they? And how did they warp history at Constantinople?

Marty:

You already know that. Nero. Trivia Ratsuit was invented to correct. (louder and into the air) Thank you Adolphus Mussolini!

bb:

But then virtual reality was too deadened and had to be jump started by another game of Trivia Ratsuit, this time between Chesaw and his likewise brother Saw-chee.

Marty:

One had to don the suit.

bb:

Second Life was born.

Marty:

(Looking into the air again, further above his head.) Look how far up the attention flows now. We are at the center of the sink, looking up. 40 meters, 60 meters… 100 meters. Way up there.

bb:

This is a place of sanctuary.

Marty:

True enough again. (Marty sets the flaming pie on a plate down on the table between us). Eat.

bb:

Thank you.
