“You wish to talk a bit about Sunklands, understandably.”

bb:

Yes, I suppose. Good night to begin?

Hucka D.:

We’ve already begun, baker b.! We’ll will begin more, then. Petemond. You are there.

bb:

I’m going to, er, recreate Peter’s Cross as soon as possible. Do I have the right location?

Hucka D.:

You do indeed. You do indeed.

bb:

The Bill are from here as well?

Hucka D.:

Yes. The Bill. Ancients.

bb:

Can we briefly discuss a philosophy about the sinks. I’m counting 6. Let me go through what I’m thinking, and then you can add comments.

Hucka D.:

Ok.

bb:

Sinks, first of all, are sacred spots. They should never be covered…

Hucka D.:

Except. Sorry… go ahead…

bb:

Maybe special circumstances?

Hucka D.:

Yes. [delete 1 exchange] Ideally they shouldn’t be filled with water either, or at a minimum level.

bb:

There are only 2 that are obviously directly north and south of each other, like the Egg Hill and Chasm Deep sinks of Corsica. These just happen to be the 2 I live between now. The Aotearoa and Otaki sinks.

Hucka D.:

Now you’re cooking…

bb:

Aotearoa is the Maori name for New Zealand. 4 of the 6 sinks would occupy basically 1 sim each, including Aotearoa and Otaki (Gorge). The other two would also logically be named for the inclusive sims, or Blackmount and Lill Burn (Valley), 2 more New Zealand derived names, and both from the Southland. In fact, if I’m reading this map correctly, it looks like Blackmount and Lill Burn Valley in Southland are right next to each other. Yet in Second Life, although the 2 namesake sims are directly east and west of each other, there are a number of sims between the 2, two more sims to be exact, as I’m checking. These are Morton Mains and Arrowtown. We’ve already mentioned Arrowtown in this blog a couple of times, Hucka D.

Hucka D.:

East and west, like Aotearoa and Otaki are north and south of each other. Looks like you have an implied right angle from these 4 one sim sinks, baker b. We have made a start but we better end here for tonight.

bb:

Thank you.
