The Arab Found! (And Much More!) October 30, 2008

In a rather incredible aboutface, decided to keep the Rubi property after integrating a photography gallery into the rebuilt Temple of TILE. The name of the gallery (logically enough): The Gallery at The Temple of TILE. Already listed in the SL art gallery list as such (live database).

*Now* my art (basically collages) and Edna’s art (essentially photographs) are in separate galleries… separate yet still pretty close, with only a sub-sim sized forest separating the two. Draw your view distance out to 256 meters and you can see one from the other.

*****

Let’s just talk with Hucka D. on this subject, if he’s once again willing.

Hucka D.:

Just call.

bb:

Hello Hucka D. and happy Halloween.

Hucka D.:

Same to you sir.

bb:

You sound happier than the other night for certain.

Hucka D.:

I had to help press you into rebuilding the temple. The temple is important. Very much so. You did good. Edna is pleased as well.

bb:

Do you want to talk about any of the attached subjects? Obviously, I think the temple floating above the giant cross on the ground is of some significance.

Hucka D.:

Yes, The Arab formed the cross. Very interesting indeed. What do you think it means?

bb:

I think it stands for the cross of Christianity and all the attached, um, baggage. The temple rises above all that because it is not really a religion, although it has that aspect. It is, instead, a game/philosophy/religion, with philosophy having to have over a 50 percent cut in the deal at any one time.

Hucka D.:

What is the power source, then? The clear blue orb that emits so many of those particles in an hour’s time?

bb:

It must be attached to the mystery of The Arab in general. I merely centered the hole in the ship to contain this orb, and “accidentally” formed the giant cross on the land. That would be about 60 meters by 40 meters or so, I believe. So the power source seems directly tied into the cross motif.

Hucka D.:

It is the freeing of crystallized energy within Christianity itself. And this energy continually zooms toward the temple above. The ship also emits smoke particles from its smokestack on top of that. But the orb is the key.

bb:

I believe I’ve theorized it may be a representation of Earth, or perhaps the Mythos planet.

Hucka D.:

The two are tied, though.

bb:

It’s also squaring the circle again, I suppose, since the sphere was fitted into a square hole in the ship. Dark and light as well. Baby blue. See through. I only mention that because the word “Arnold” is now on the *front* of the Temple of TILE*

Hucka D. (prompting): Also…?

bb:

Um, The Wall. The song with the phrase “baby blue” in it. And The Arab may have been built at The Great Wall in Ziczac. Ziczac-zoe. Could it have sort of teleported down through The Great Wall to Rubi?

Hucka D.:

Oblio. Earth.

bb:

The Point of The Wall. Oblio is a symbol of Earth. Baby blue. The first song of the synch. Then we have, next up in the synch, the song “Goodbye Blue Sky”, as Oblio leaves the home nest to eventually reach the Pointless Forest.

Hucka D.:

He leaves The Arab. (pause) Whatever, the orb is Oblio. Round on the ends. High in the middle. Point.

bb:

Hucka D., I have a feeling we are entering some totally different space.

Hucka D.:

That is true enough. I’m so so glad you rebuilt the Temple. It will take you far.

bb:

I’m going to take a look at that ship again. I may get back to you tonight.

Hucka D.:

Ok.

*****

*****

bb:

Hucka D., I’m also thinking that this reminds me of the movie Sphere and the connected synchronicity MessiaenSphere. There was a ship in that movie that also carried an “alien” orb, the only thing alien about it, as it turned out. Much to the disappointment of the alien exploring crew sent down there to investigate. They thought the whole ship was of alien origin when it was in fact an American ship, but from the future. Encountered a black hole, perhaps caused by that sphere in the first place. Displaced ship again.

Hucka D.:

Harry went inside. Then Jerry showed up. Jules Verne again. Monster.

bb:

Taking it a step beyond the twin Messiaen Trek, if intellectually and not particularly aesthetically.

Hucka D.:

The Sphere talked back. It wanted to communicate. but instead it was turned into a *Monster*.

bb:

Hucka D., can we talk to the sphere on The Arab?

Hucka D.:

Not quite yet. SF is available, though.

bb:

Alright, that’ll do. SF?

SF:

Yes.

bb:

You mentioned Mythos and The Arab the other night in our chatting then. Can you tell me more now that The Arab has manifested on the Rubi land and formed a giant cross with the subway there?

SF:

Squaring of the circle again. I am at all corners. Control.

bb:

Are you the same as The Arab, then?

Hucka D.:

SF does not wish to talk further tonight, but another night he will.

bb:

Can you then answer more questions about The Arab tonight, Hucka D.? Or the temple, perhaps?

Hucka D.:

Power source. Energy, but needs to be controlled. *Cornered*.

bb:

This is where 9 becomes 1 instead of 8, isn’t it?

Hucka D.:

Yes. Point. Wall. *SID*.

bb:

Thank you.

Loose Thoughts… October 27, 2008

It did occur to me tonight while walking around the gallery properties (both Wright House Gallery and then the Edwardston Station Gallery across the forest) that I could consolidate the Edwardston Station Gallery with the Wright House Gallery at the location of the *latter*. This never occurred to me before, probably because I didn’t think I had enough prims at that location to make the deal. But now I believe I do. I would have to separate Edna’s (& Klutzy’s) photographs from my own collages, but I think Edna will understand — Klutzy, at this point, doesn’t care I don’t believe (kind of sad). Edna will understand because it will be saving her money as well, once I sell the Rubi properties. But I don’t want to just sell them for any old price.

If I do this, and it is probably a go at this point (knowing me and my natural instincts), then what would happen is the station and then the orange brick part of the gallery would be moved across the forest, leaving the two photography levels behind — actually that would be 4 levels, counting the back addition (levels 4, 5, 6, 7). Then I’d move the kiosk for the Edwardston Station Gallery across the road to the Tyta properties. The Wright House Gallery would then become the photography gallery — put it under photography in the gallery listing. Edwardston Station Gallery would remain a “gallery”, since the collages inside are more art than photography.

Then I could reconstruct, at least temporarily, the TILE Temple on the Rubi properties, as Hucka D. has suggested recently. Can’t forget about TILE.

I think this sounds like a plan (once again). My collages of the 10×10, perhaps accompanied by my pre-digital collages, if I have room, will be consolidated in Tyta. Then photography can be shown in Rubi. Heck, Edna can think of her own name for that gallery — obviously doesn’t have to be the Wright House Gallery. Ground level will be a garden, extending what I already have there.

Edna will understand, especially if I put the Rubi property up for sale once more. But I don’t have to. Could even sell the bottom part of the property (1024) and offer to the new neighbor. Maybe split a 512 off the remaining 2048 to the east. Sell that. Temple of TILE would be next to the wooden monstrosity (hey, isn’t that suppose to be a church (“temple”) itself?

Temple, if so, would be *sealed* essentially.

*****

10-28:

Yes, I’ve now downsized and consolidated the Edwardston Station Gallery (lower 2 levels) with the Wright House Gallery. All art by Baker B. (Baker Bloch + Baker Blinker in SL) is located in the Edwardston Station Gallery, now in *Tyta*. I haven’t decided if I want to sell the Rubi properties but I don’t know why I won’t now.

It’s a shame about Edna’s photos but Baker Blinker still has ’em in her inventory and the photography levels can be recreated easily enough. Simplified all notecards, instead pointing those interested in more complicated material (ie, history of Edwardston Station, background of the “10×10”) to the future Edwardston Station Gallery. That’s a project on the horizon now, and it won’t be just the art and the 10×10, but writing behind that and also maybe even music and a/v synching.

Let’s bring in Hucka D., perhaps briefly, to chat some more on this. Hucka?

Hucka D.:

[no answer]

bb:

I have a strange feeling that Hucka D. wants me to keep the Rubi property, though, even though he’s not answering me directly. I wonder why he would… of course, TILE, the Temple.

Hucka D.:

Think things through very carefully before you leave Rubi. I directed you there, remember? Temple. TILE.

bb:

It’s good, though, that all the 10×10 collages are now located in Tyta. That I’m sure of.

Hucka D.:

Dark Dorothy.

bb:

Hucka D., do you want to look through Baker Bloch’s eyes at those SF related collages now?

Hucka D.:

Very soon.

bb:

Is SF pleased that the collages are all located in Tyta now?

Hucka D.:

Yes.

bb:

Hucka D., why should I re-create the Temple of TILE, if that’s what you’re wanting me to do? In Rubi, I mean?

Hucka D.:

Tyta consolidation is good. The Edwardston Station Gallery still borders Rubi. That’s ok and good and how it should be at this point. Consolidation. But once the gallery is removed from Rubi then other things can move in. The photos remain. Photos [new gallery?] plus the Temple of TILE remnants which should perhaps be clothed in the temple again. And also: The Arab.

bb:

Hucka D., I think I’m going to sell the Rubi properties still. I have a lot of other projects to work on, and it’s more a matter of focus now. But admittedly I have absolutely no wiggle room for building at Tyta.

Hucka D.:

The Temple must be rebuilt. Maybe you should read your blog front to back again. See how hard, again, it was to find the Temple of TILE in the first place.

*****

bb:

Sorry Hucka D. Got sidetracked.

Hucka D.:

Wow, that’s unusual.

bb:

I was walking around the new gallery again. I like it! 1 prim left now, though.

Hucka D.

Goodbye.

SF, can you tell me more about Mythos currently? I have read over our last set of conversations. Obviously we can’t talk a lot about much of the information therein. You were pretty chatty then. Can you still talk in this forum about those kind of issues? Especially Mythos?

*****

bb:

Sorry I got sidetracked again SF. I was looking at this document about a reputed history of Atlantis on the spiritmythos site.

SF:

Ok.

bb:

Mythos is a so-called forbidden planet in the primary Sirius solar system. Can you tell us more about Sirius and why the planet is quarantined?

SF:

Arab. Contents.

bb:

Is the Arab at the bottom of the Ross Sea?

SF:

1 box in particular. Nautilus.

bb:

Oh. The Arab and Nautilus City are tied together?

SF:

Crystals.

bb:

Are they Atlantean crystals?

SF:

Power mismanaged. Then control. Grid control. A circle spinning… out of control.

*****

“Squaring of the circle! Just like we seem to have — or at least the symbolic representation occurs there — in the central city of Nautilus island.”

SF:

It is there. Control. Grid. Squaring the circle.

bb:

There are a number of things which caught my eye when running down the list of uses for the Atlantean crystals from that cystalinks.com site page. Teleportation and dematerialization, for one. But the use of crystals to store information, like a library, is one that perked my interest the most at the time. I see the gallery as a library of sorts, a glorified web site [itself]. The Edwardston Station Gallery site will encompass the art 10×10 but also the writing 10×10 standing behind it, and all other works clustered around the art 10×10.

SF:

Cluster.

bb:

Is the art 10×10, then, such a center, the central crystal?

SF:

I control. 4-square. 10-35-60-85. You are almost at 85, the 4th. Y.

bb:

Obviously Hucka D. and I need to look at those collages you refer to here quite closely in the coming days.

SF:

Squared circle.

bb:

Was The Arab itself suppose to be in the central pool of the Citadel? Or in another probability is it there instead of the much smaller, wrecked vessel? With the pink crystals?

SF:

You must look at probabilities. Pink.

*****

bb:

Sorry, I was looking over information in this next Atlantean crystal related link from the spiritmythos site. Can you talk about the Kali Rift or do you know about this?

SF:

Probabilities. Splintering effect. Separation of mutable from more permanent. Sirius.

bb:

Thank you.

“Hucka D., I was wondering if I could talk to S.F. through this blog?”

Hucka D.:

You may indeed. Here he is…

SF:

Hi.

bb:

Thank you for being present tonight SF. We haven’t talked in quite a while. Now to introduce you, you are obviously some kind of guardian or overseer of the 10×10 process, guiding it, most explainably, through the square overlapping the entire [circular] 10×10. 25 collages apart… that is, the 10×10 is made up of 100 collages, which is divided into 4 equal parts of 25 collages in a logical fashion. But this division doesn’t begin at the beginning, but 10 collages in.

SF:

I am old.

bb:

You appear in each equidistant corner, er, quarter.

SF:

I killed you yet you did not die.

bb:

Do you know of the TILE waterfall?

SF:

You forget.

bb:

Did 9 have to become 1 instead of 8?

SF:

[delete name] is reborn.

bb:

Is he in Gill’s Pier, Michigan?

SF:

T…

bb:

Can you help me with Egan and Map?

SF (softly):

Ben.

bb:

Haystack, perhaps? The Haystacks?

SF:

Mythos. Arab.

bb:

Do you know of the Mmmmmm’s?

SF:

Old.

bb:

Mossmen?

SF:

Quarter. I control. Corners… ville.

bb:

Did you pluck Wet Rock from the stone circle?

SF:

Put it back.

bb (to Hucka D.):

Hucka D., should we go look at these quartered collages, all of SF?

Hucka D.:

Most definitely!

bb (to the reader):

There’ll be only 3 of the 4 sets complete. The 4th will come midway through the Wheeler series. That’s why I felt the need to talk to SF tonight. SF is at all the corners.

Hucka D.:

SF controls.

*****

bb:

Hucka D., before we begin, I’m curious: is SF a rock god?

Hucka D.:

Zeppelin.

Where’s Grassy, for that matter?

Hucka D.:

Esbum was around today. Poking around the central pool of The Citadel [on the new island]. More observant that your bud Baker Bloch for sure.

Thanks for that. Do you have some words to say about the new island?

Hucka D.:

Go back.

Thanks again. So… we’re on the cusp of phaze 9 of this blog.

Hucka D.:

Yup.

Smithy, I think I should go inworld again. But maybe GoogleEarth instead of SL.

Hucka D.:

You do that.

bb:

Hucka D., where should I put the Wheeler series?

Hucka D.:

In the galleries.

Gallery Sights, 2 of 2 (Gallery)

So this whole lower part of the Rubi gallery containing my Greenup collage series has been moved over to the Tyta properties — the brown tile part. Glad I was able to take some pictures before the transition. I like the way the spiral walkway is framed by one of the front windows here.

Baker Bloch at what was then the top of the spiral, entering the lower photograph level. This part is still at Rubi, although the spiral has been extended upward and also downward. Now you can walk the spiral into both the photography level above this one and also one more level, which would be the second level of the temple itself now.

I like this view out the windows of Zarek’s TILE colored platforms. How deliciously synchy!

Baker Bloch sits in the foray behind the 2 photography levels of that older version. From this draw distance you can get an idea of the size of all this mess added together. It was quite a collage of disparate objects! (and still is to a somewhat lesser degree)

More view of the towering gallery system. Those Victorian houses at the top remain in the exact same position in the newest version, except they are now encased by the temple itself. The lowest levels of the subway galleries, the old Azure house, and the brown tile part have all been removed, with most of rebuilt in Tyta.

Oh… can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this or not but the Edwardston Station Gallery is the name of the *Tyta* gallery now, not the one remaining in Rubi. The Rubi gallery, now solely composed of Edna’s photo collections (plus a small Klutzy Kamper collection in one room), is instead called The Gallery at the Temple of TILE.

Gallery Sights, 1 of 2 (Garden)

Before I got a chance to write the text to this post, the whole Rubi gallery had been remodelled…. again! The garden part most pictured in this first post (of 2), however, remains somewhat the same. The grounds now, as of 11/8, are expanded since I’ve deleted all of the Arcadia Asylum subway stuff except for the actual 50 meter tunnel itself.

I did want to provide some pictures of the little garden I set up beside the subway tunnel, on the west side of the grounds. There’s what one could call an actual center to the landscaping efforts in this particular version (continued into the next version, with a 2nd center added, even). The original Rubi gallery was so full of gallery space on the ground level that there was little room left for landscaping of this kind. I thought this part was worthy of a little blog space, then.

Above you can see a glimpse into this “center”, which includes a tiny waterfall falling from a crimped pipe of some kind into a small pool. Surrounding this waterfall are 4 large upright rocks, arranged in a kind of Stonehenge fashion around the falls. These rocks (and also the water in the falls) are actually what remains of the Luna Bliss waterfall that use to be on the bottom level of the temple, but whose parts I accidentally delinked with deleting one of the versions of the Temple of TILE. But I found I had some cool looking 1 prim rocks to set up on my property as a consolation.

Below is a picture of Baker Bloch atop a grunge water tower I set up in the very sw corner of the properties, an object which also made the transition to the newest version of the gallery. He looks up toward the Victorian houses that now have a lot of additional buildings/objects rooting them to the Rubi ground. More on these in a minute.

Closeups of the falls I’ve already mentioned. I suppose I would call them Butterfly Falls for obvious reasons if I had to come up with a name. The tombstone in front from this angle has now been moved to the east side of my Rubi properties and coupled with another tombstone to make a little cemetery.

Looking through the crimped pipe toward the relaxed Baker Bloch in the science fiction related Star Treky chair.

NOOB statue looks directly down upon Baker Bloch as he sits at the tiny falls. I can’t remember if I’ve talked about it here, but that house the NOOB statue stands next to is the same as the first Azure Island house, when Baker Bloch and Baker Blinker were very much noobs themselves — they still have aspects of noobiness but they’re working on the problem.

As you can also tell, the middle part of the house has been greatly extended upward to accomodate particles emitting from a mysterious sphere situated in the middle of the old main room. In the latest version this is found inside the hull of The Arab now.

View of Baker Bloch, still in his chair, from the property to the west. The vegetation is thick here (still is).

Satisfied that he’d seen all of the important, original structures of the central city, Baker Bloch decides to fly down the great canal one more time… past the rows and rows of identically shaped and sized houses surrounding the central Citadel pool on all sides…

…through the massive gelded gate and then past the bathing/swimming pools now filled more with avatars than sea serpents most likely… past the giant chessboard and pieces that perhaps are movable now and have been employed already in a number of hotly contested games…

…past the leaning Magellen Linden owned boring machine lying idle and salient against the backdrop of the island’s highest hill…

…past the majestic temple of the dolphins, complete with its red crystals and giant golden monument to a mysterious feminine island presence.

Further and further he flies, beyond the end of the island, but not stopping until reaching the end of the SL virtual world itself in this direction.

Only then does he look back to glimpse the slightest hint that the huge island even exists.

Baker Bloch knows that when he returns it will be much changed, for tomorrow (at that time) the bidding wars begin for available properties. From this day forward it will not be just a “virgin” Linden made island but a Linden + Resident made island. A symbiosis is about to take effect, for better or for worse.

Goodbye original Nautilus Island!

Almost next to the Citadel’s central temple is this ampitheatre of considerable proportions, capable of holding well over 100 avatars upon rough guess.I wonder what kind of theatre the original inhabitants enjoyed at this venue? Or was it instead a place of war and battle? Baker Bloch hoped not, but the swords and spears in the Citadel pool just below painted a picture of a more violent culture than he perhaps wished for.

Ahhh! Now red crystals near the center of the city. The pattern is broken at last!

Mysterious ground swells above the interior walls.

And then another, smaller open air temple to the immediate west of the central crystal temple of this area. (the ampitheatre, btw, lies to the immediate south of the same). But there’s nothing within this time except for a giant slab of a table with matching seating. Maybe a place for banquets?

Next: The End?

Since he’s on the edge of the raised central area anyway, Baker Bloch decides just to run the entire perimeter of the island’s central, circular area, just to get a better feel for the scope of the interior city.

Convincing evidence for seismic activity dots this perimeter, such as these displaced slabs obviously weighing many tons apiece.

But there are also still intact objects of a much more fragile nature placed at the wall as well, seeming to imply that the seismic eruptions may be in the past. Perhaps these same upheavals sunk the part of a former population center positioned to the island’s immediate north, the seabed closest to the central city.* Might the two have been joined at one time? But if so why did that part sink while this remained many meters above the overall flat island surface? Has the raised part of the city been somehow rendered earthquake-proof, perhaps, as HBA speculates in one of his comments to my Nautilus Island related posts, through the energy of the giant pink crystals themselves?? It makes interesting food for thought.

More seismic wave evidence here at a different point on the wall’s top.

Back to the center.

* In rechecking Baker Bloch once again, Esbum Michigan finds that most of the ruins in the seabed to the north of the island are actually positioned to the northeast of the central circular city. Just fyi.
